John Danks was brilliant, giving up just one run, three hits and a walk along with six strikeouts in eight innings of work. And he retired the last 21 batters he faced in winning his first game of the season…Alex Rios broke up a 1-1 tie in the eighth with a run-scoring single and Paul Konerko followed with a two-run blast, his sixth of the year and 428th of his career…Adam Dunn put the Sox on the scoreboard in the second with his 14th of the season and 420th lifetime…Addison Reed chalked up his18th save.
