Speakers at the service were Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel, Cook County commissioner John Daley (on behalf of the Daley family), historian and author Dr. Adrian Burgos, friend of the family Zach Strauss, White Sox executive vice president Howard Pizer, former Sox teammate Billy Pierce and son Charlie Minoso (on behalf of the family). All expressed their love and admiration for Mr. White Sox.

Others attending the service included: Sox Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf, Executive Vice President Ken Williams, Hall of Famers Frank Thomas and Billy Williams, former Sox Carlos May and Ron Kittle and ex-major leaguer Jose Cardenal.

There was a procession immediately following the service that passed U.S. Cellular Field and the home plate of Old Comiskey Park, located in the parking lot adjacent to the ballpark (pictured above).
