Today’s News

Last Night’s Highlights

Todd Frazier belted his 39th homer, Jose Abreu drove in his 97th run and Jose Quintana earned his 13th win as the White Sox topped the Indians, 8-1.

Frazier, who also has driven in 96, is one home run away from becoming the seventh Sox player to reach the 40 home run mark. Last night’s solo blast traveled 428 feet. Abreu is three RBI away from driving in 100 runs in each of his first three major-league seasons. His 179 hits already has put him in select company. Jose, Hall of Famer Joe DiMaggio and Albert Pujols are the only major leaguers to hit 25 homers and collect 175 hits in their first three seasons in the big-leagues.

In winning No. 13, Q allowed just one run and six hits in six innings of work.

Melky Cabrera singled, doubled and drove in a pair, giving him 80 on the season. Carlos Sanchez had a pair of two-base hits and a single with an RBI. Leury Garcia singled twice and drove in a run.
