Avi Garcia went 2-3 with a run scored and raised his batting average to .292 in the loss to the Orioles…Geovany Soto drove in a run…Scott Carroll pitched two scoreless innings and rookie Carlos Rodon retired the O’s in order on five pitches in the eighth.
David Robertson is averaging 19.13 strikeouts per nine innings, the second best among major-league relievers behind the Nationals’ Rafael Martin (19.80). Robertson’s career average of 12.13 strikeouts per nine innings ranks third in major-league history among pitchers with at least 300 IP, trailing Carlos Marmol (12.33) and Rob Dibble (12.17)…He has struck out 17 of 29 batters faced this season and has fanned two or more batters in five consecutive outings.

In Game 19 on April 24, the White Sox won their seventh straight with a 4-3 win over the Royals in Kansas City. Aaron Rowand and pinch-hitter Pablo Ozuna (No. 38 below) each drove in a run in the eighth, giving the Sox the lead. Shingo Takatsu retired K.C. 1-2-3 in the ninth for his sixth save. Neal Cotts got the win in relief as the first-place Sox improved to 15-4 on the season.
