Plays of the Day
Jose Abreu wasted no time in making his presence felt after returning from the DL, smashing a two-run homer (No. 16 with his 43rd and 44th RBI) off of Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw in his second at-bat…although Jose Quintana was touched up for five runs in six innings, his outing was far better than it appears on the surface as all five LA tallies were unearned in the sixth.

Two interesting and historic duos…
Who can forget the Juan Uribe to Paul Konerko combination that connected for the final, glorious out of the 2005 World Series? Here they are again, reunited last night before the Sox and Dodgers took the field.
And here are Abreu and Yasiel Puig, a pair of former Cuban teammates who are quickly becoming household names to baseball fans in the U.S.
