Tonight’s Game

White Sox vs. Rays at U.S. Cellular Field (7:10 p.m., CT, WCIU) in the first of a four-game series and six-game homestand. Starters: RHP Erik Johnson (1-1, 5.32) for the Sox, RHP Chris Archer (2-1, 3.65) for the Tampa Bay.

Sox Starting Lineup: Eaton CF, Semien 3B, Abreu 1B, Dunn DH, Viciedo RF, Ramirez SS, De Aza LF, Flowers C, Beckham 2B.

Plays of the Day

Adam Dunn homered (No. 5 on the season, No. 445 in his career), doubled, scored twice and drove in a run in yesterday’s loss to the Tigers…Dayan Viciedo was a homer shy of the cycle with a single, double and triple and improved his league-leading batting average to .377…Alexei Ramirez drove in two runs with a single and sac fly and Tyler Flowers collected three singles…Jose Quintana had a quality start, giving up three runs in six innings of work.

Sox Notes of Note

The White Sox have claimed right-handed pitcher Hector Noesi off waivers from the Texas Rangers.

Noesi, 27, has appeared in 69 games (21 starts) over parts of four major-league seasons with the Yankees, Mariners and Rangers…Jose Abreu needs one more home run to tie Albert Pujols (2001), Carlos Delgado (1994) and Kent Hrbek (1982) for the all-time record among rookies in March/April with eight.
