Tonight’s Game

White Sox vs. Twins at Target Field (7:10 p.m., CT, CSN) in the opener of a four-game set and seven-game road trip that concludes with three in Kansas City. Starters: RHP Andre Rienzo (0-0, 4.42) for the Sox, RHP Mike Pelfrey (7-11, 2.77) for Minnesota.

Gordon Beckham (3), Alexei Ramirez (2), Adam Dunn (2), Avisail Garcia (2) and Jeff Keppinger (2) paced the Sox’s 14-hit attack in the 6-4 loss to the Tigers yesterday afternoon. Alexei, Avisail, Jeff and Conor Gillaspie each drove in a run…The Sox finished the homestand at 6-4, highlighted by a three-game sweep over the Yankees and taking two of three from the Tigers.

Special Note: Boxing at the Ballpark Tomorrow Night

U.S. Cellular Field will host ESPN’s Friday Night Fights tomorrow evening. Headlining the seven-bout card is a scheduled 12-rounder between IBO Light Heavyweight World Champion Andrzej Fonfara and the former world champion Gabriel Campillo. It is the first time the Sox have hosted a boxing match since September 25, 1962, when Sonny Liston knocked out Floyd Patterson in the first round to win the heavyweight title.
