We have an amazing opportunity for all you White Sox collectors! During the opening ceremony of last weekend’s SoxFest, expressionist speed painter Elliott From of “Artbeat Live!”created a one-of-a-kind White Sox canvas art piece that is currently being auctioned off to benefit the Chicago White Sox Charities.
The original piece was signed by White Sox team members Paul Konerko, Mark Buehrle, Adam Dunn, Matt Thornton, Chris Sale, Sergio Santos, John Danks, Ramon Castro, Juan Pierre, Brent Morel, Alexei Ramirez, Jesse Crain, Harold Baines, Mark Salas and Ron Kittle.
You may remember Elliott from the Blackhawk’s championship season when he created a Blackhawks logo on the WGN Midday News, or the giant Blackhawks mural he painted on the outside of Tribune Tower before and after the Stanley Cup Championship (Go Blackhawks!).
Other Artbeat Live creations are owned by Mike Ditka, Alfonso Soriano, Hotel Intercontinental, WGN Radio, and the Chicago Police Department. Most importantly, all the money goes towards Chicago White Sox Charities, which provides annual financial, in-kind and emotional support to hundreds of Chicago-based organizations, including those leading the fight against cancer, improving the lives of Chicago’s youth through education and recreation, and supporting children and families in crisis.
The auction ends February 1, 2011 – so bid now and be sure to check back to make sure you’re still on top.

I know many White Sox fans can’t wait to plan their schedules at SoxFest, so here is a link to this weekend’s events at SoxFest 2011. Of course, thanks to our friends at the Chicago Bears (Go Bears!), fans are definitely going to have to schedule their Sundays accordingly.
I was talking with Ken Williams this morning and he can’t wait for his chance to talk with fans at Friday night’s seminar with manager Ozzie Guillen.
It’s also not too late to purchase two-day and individual day passes to the event, by going to this link at whitesox.com/soxfest.
And for those of you following @InsideTheSox on twitter, today (Monday) begins our Hide & Tweet with SoxFest tickets available to the first fan who finds our intern somewhere in the city of Chicago. Stay tuned and keep following.

It might be early January, but it’s time to start to thinking about White Sox baseball and SoxFest. Our annual fan event (January 21-23) is always fun and should be especially exciting after all of the offseason moves made by the team.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet Adam Dunn and Jesse Crain for the first time, as well as the chance to welcome back Paul Konerko and A.J. Pierzynski. A number of other current coaches, players and past players are scheduled to attend as well, including:
Gordon Beckham, Mark Buehrle, Ozzie Guillen, Harold Baines, Don Cooper, Jeff Cox, Ramon Castro, Roberto Hernandez, Edwin Jackson, Ron Kittle, Brent Lillibridge, Minnie Minoso, Brent Morel, Juan Nieves, Juan Pierre, Alexei Ramirez, Mark Salas, Chris Sale, Sergio Santos, Moose Skowron, Mark Teahen, Matt Thornton, Jose Valentin and Greg Walker, as well as broadcasters Ed Farmer, Hawk Harrelson, Darrin Jackson and Steve Stone.
This year, we’re also offering the opportunity to meet one of the franchise’s greatest players, Frank Thomas, through the Big Hurt Experience. Only fans who purchase a hotel package and weekend pass(es) are eligible to purchase the special experience, which includes a private autograph session with the White Sox great.
Fans have until this Monday, January 10 to book SoxFest two-night hotel packages, and have the opportunity to purchase weekend passes. For more information visit whitesox.com/SoxFest.
